3D Printing and Design
Come join the digital fabrication revolution! In this hands-on, four-day workshop for educators, learn how to use 3D printing to support transformative learning at your school.
To start the week, teachers will construct their own IMADE3D JellyBOX 3D Printer, paired with in-depth technical training on its use and maintenance. In the following days, teachers will put their printers and themselves to work on design projects and lesson integrations that build proficiency in connecting 3D printing to core content.
The cost of this workshop includes participation for two teachers working on one 3D printer. Participants should bring a laptop computer that they are able to install software on (PC or Mac, no tablets).
Each team of teachers will receive the following items as part of the workshop:
- JellyBOX 3D Printer
- 1kg rolls of printing filament
- 3D printer upkeep tool kit
Capacity: 20 participants (maximum of 10 teams)
Location: Discovery Place Education Studio
Schools will be invoiced for workshop fees. Payment is due by the end of the workshop.
Lunch will be provided. Parking at the Discovery Place Science parking deck will be validated.
