3D Printing and Design

Come join the digital fabrication revolution!

Join our expert staff in a week of learning how to use 3D Printing to support transformative learning at your school. To start the week, teachers will construct their own IMADE3D JellyBOX 3D Printer, paired with in-depth technical training on its use and maintenance.

In the following days, teachers will put their printers and themselves to work on design projects and lesson integrations that build proficiency on the technology's connections to core content.

Schools may opt to send a second teacher to partner on the building process and serve as an additional expert to support its use after the workshop. Participants should come with a laptop computer that they are able to install software on (PC or Mac, no tablets).

Each team of teachers will receive the following items as part of the workshop:

  • JellyBOX 3D Printer
  • 1kg rolls of printing filament
  • 3D printer upkeep tool kit

Cost: $2500, $500 for an additional attendee (recommended)
Capacity: 10 participants
Location: Discovery Place Education Studio

Schools will be invoiced for workshop fees. Payment is due by the end of the workshop.
Lunch will be provided. Parking at the Discovery Place Science parking deck will be validated.

This workshop is part of the Summer Leadership Institute at Discovery Place Education Studio.
