The team at the Discovery Place Education Studio prides ourselves on providing Professional Development that meets the specific needs of our Partners. During the Summer, we are able to leverage the break in instruction to schedule longer engagements for strategic planning, pedagogy training and extensive co-planning opportunities. We would love to talk to you and your instructional leadership team to better understand your needs and how we can help you meet your goals.

When you request a four-day session in advance, the Discovery Place Education Studio staff will examine the specific needs and context of your learning community and tailor a sequence of workshops to address your unique plans for the future. Summer Intensives are a complete package that may include acquisition of relevant hardware, pre-session school visits or other consultation prior to the intensive workshop.

Strategic moves that lend themselves to a full week of foundational planning generally require ongoing support in order to ensure successful adoption and execution. Typically, the Discovery Place Education Studio recommends a series of on-site observations, coaching sessions or other check-ins during the coming school year. The format and schedule for these sessions is further tailored to our partners’ context and resources.

All Summer Intensive sequences are customized.
