Community Café is a farm-driven dining experience, based on the principles of eating local, healthy and green. Community Café is full of fresh fare and forward thinking ideas intended to make visitors think before they chow down. The Café is managed by Something Classic, the Charlotte-based cafes and full-service catering company.

As part of the Community Cafe' experience, guests are encouraged to "eat with their eyes," featuring a menu designed to teach kids to eat colorfully, colorful=healthy. The menu features options for even the pickiest of young diners including favorites such as our Turkey Sloppy Joes with Carrots and Mushrooms; our Gluten-Free Chicken Tenderloins with a house-made Maple Mustard Dipping Sauce, and sides like our Sweet Potato and Eggplant Fries. Community Café also features a selection of healthier kid staples like Sammies with organic peanut, almond and sunflower butters with organic jellies, Rabbit Nibbles, and Yogurt Fruit Parfaits along with several Something Classic boutique sandwiches.

As a sweet treat for Museum-goers, Community Café also features a Cupcake Corner with an ever-changing variety of freshly-baked treats. Current seasonal varieties include the signature sunflower cupcake, a corn-on-the-cob cupcake, a s'mores cupcake, and a pumpkin spice cupcake with cream cheese frosting.

When the meal is over and it's time to toss your trash, take a moment to divvy it up between the recycling and compost bins. At Community Café we make a daily effort to reduce our carbon footprint - barely anything gets left behind and the environment is better for it. Community Café is also dedicated to the Something Classic Green Goddess Alliance, featuring organic lettuces and tomatoes, all-natural meats, sustainable and/or biodegradable service ware, a recycling program, partnerships with local farmers and an on-site composting program.

It's a new way of thinking about food and how it affects our bodies and the environment in which we live. Recycle, reuse, redefine, reclaim and replace. That's how we roll at Community Café!
