One of the top hands-on science museums in the nation and consistently one of the top 5 most visited attractions in North Carolina, Discovery Place is a must-do for any group visiting Charlotte. Centrally located in uptown Charlotte, Discovery Place is steps away from many great hotels, restaurants and other cultural attractions.

Discovery Place is undergoing an exciting renovation that will bring all new interactive science and technology activities to the Museum in late 2009 and early 2010. These new experiences, including a 3D digital theatre and a large diverse aquarium, will make your tour group visit even more extraordinary.

Group Information and Policies

Dining Options: Dining is available at the Museum in the Community Cafe during normal business hours. Or, Discovery Place has partnered with local restaurants to assist groups with meal planning. Please inquire for more information.

Motorcoach Parking: Motorcoach parking is available complimentary at an off-site location. Shuttle service is provided for the driver, Monday through Friday only. A map will be provided with your confirmation letter.

Payment and Confirmation: Payment in full is requirement 3 weeks prior to arrival date. Visa, American Express and MasterCard are accepted. A check with your reservation number written in the memo section is also accepted.

Cancellation notice of 3 weeks is required for a full refund. Cancellations with less than 3 weeks notice are non-refundable but may be rescheduled within a 12-month period. Changes to the reservation must be made 3 days prior to arrival to receive a refund.

A confirmation packet outlining reservation details and other important information will be sent to the contact person.
