Start with a visit to our special limited engagement exhibition, SHIPWRECK! Pirates & Treasure. Plunge beneath the sea and uncover the mystery of some of the world’s most famous shipwrecks. Spend some time with the endlessly imaginative Kapla blocks, constructing tall towers, developing beautiful designs or experimenting with architecture. Gather as a group in The Machine Shop to get hands-on with basic mechanical principles of Simple Machines while discovering the importance of cooperation. Bring the youngest visitors to KidsPlace to use their imaginations in play. Finish your day by putting yourself in the movies at The Charlotte Observer IMAX Dome Theatre.
