Pop in to an eye-popping experience in Discovery 3D Theatre. Glasses are required to experience the latest in digital filmmaking and state-of-the-art sound. You will be immersed in family-friendly short films that require you to hold onto your seat and your senses.
Little hands can play with the big ideas of science in KidScience a unique experience for visitors age 7 and younger. Kids play in experiences that are based in math and science, and learn by touching, trying and tinkering in different environments and activities such as water tables, wind tunnels, blocks, gears and air tubes.

Discovery Place is located in the heart of uptown Charlotte and is accessible by car, train or foot:
By Car:
Discovery Place Parking Deck is located at the corner of Church and 6th Sts. in uptown Charlotte.
Enter the deck from 6th St. The Deck is three levels - walking access to the Museum from the parking deck is on Level 3, an elevator connects and staircase connects all three levels. During the summer parking may become congested, we suggest arriving early.
By Train:
Discovery Place is two blocks from the 7th Street Station stop on the LYNX Light Rail system. Upon exiting the train at 7th St., head west toward Tryon St., Discovery Place is located on Tryon St. between 6th & 7th Sts.

If you are in uptown Charlotte, simply head toward Tryon St. & 6th St. - we're hard to miss! There are two entrances to the Museum - one located on 6th St. between Tryon St. & Church St. and the other on N. Tryon St. between 6th & 7th Sts.
