Visitors to the lab will engage in authentic, dynamic activities that provide opportunities to explore big ideas through inquiry. Activities are fun for all ages and skill level.
Lab activities are constantly evolving and may include the chance to observe and identify plankton and experiment with materials to understand principles of buoyancy. Experience aquatic life in novel ways and the wonder of adaptation.
Design and conduct experiments to explore aspects of termite behavior. Learn more about the natural world and the potential for unforeseen consequences of manmade products.

Human Body - How do we keep our bodies moving? Learn about different body systems and how they function. In partnership with Carolinas Medical Center.
On weekends throughout February visitors can observe fetal pig dissections in the lab that help illustrate how human bodies function. These educational demonstrations take place:
