Discovery Place, Inc. will renovate its Tryon Street museum beginning in January 2009. The redesigned Museum, filled with new interactive science and technology exhibits, will reopen in early 2010. During the renovation, the Tryon Street building, including The Charlotte Observer IMAX® Dome Theatre, will not be open to the public.

Members who join or renew in 2008 have the opportunity to become Charter Members of the “new” Discovery Place. The Charter Membership package offers 26 months of Membership to Discovery Place and Charlotte Nature Museum, which includes unlimited admission at both Museums.
