specially designed screen that has a slight curvature, which extends beyond the
audience's peripheral field of view.
What are the key technologies uses in an IMAX® theatre?
There are three main technical components that make up The IMAX® Experience. There is
the IMAX® projector, the specially designed IMAX® screen and the state-of-the-art digital
surround sound system. The IMAX® projector utilizes the 15/70 film format, which is ten
time larger than conventional 35mm film.
