Discovery Place to Extend Hours December 26-31

The magic of the holidays will continue for another week at Discovery Place with extraordinary experiments and fascinating fun! Guests are invited to spend an extra hour each day during the week after Christmas, as Discovery Place extends its hours from Sunday, December 26 until Friday, December 31.

Extended operating hours at Discovery Place will be:

Sunday, Dec. 26: noon – 6:00 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 27 - Friday, Dec. 31: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Discovery Place will resume regular operating hours beginning Saturday, January 1 when the Museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 2 from noon – 5:00 p.m.

Guests visiting Discovery Place during the holidays can chill out with frigid -351 degree temperatures at SubZero, dive into an exploration of the world’s oceans at daily guided Aquarium tours, and explore the properties of cold light and things that spark, glow and fluoresce in the dark at What’s Glowing On?. The Rainforest provides the perfect tropical escape from freezing temperatures, where visitors can meet feathered friends each day at Feathered Facts.

Discovery Place KIDS and Charlotte Nature Museum will operate with regular hours during the week after Christmas which are available by calling (704) 372-6261 or visiting discoveryplace.org or charlottenaturemuseum.org.

Discovery Place, Charlotte Nature Museum and Discovery Place KIDS will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
